If you know how to care, you know how to love

This weekend I was lucky enough to watch some Korean movies. I have waited for my training to get over, so that I could continue downloading such movies on my laptop as they are not easily available in the market.
After late night party on Saturday I started streaming these movies on YouTube via wifi. With continuous browsing and comparing the comments I ended up watching these three movies in a row:

Love A Holic:
This emotive Thai movie depicted the problems of a married couple. It is full of emotional sequences with some effective comedy elements in between.
The boring lifestyle of the couple leads each of them to try other means of pleasure but they only end up feeling guilty.

The story has been twisted well and maintains the interest as several shots are connected to give a different meaning.

Few are the movies that can portray the feelings this well. Though as for Korean flicks I have experienced many.

The love and helplessness of an assassin who delivers daisy flowers to a girl daily, doesn’t change even when she thinks that the man she has waited for is a detective who was using her as a cover.

The craving for a person and the pain coz of losing the same are depicted well. The inability to express love is emotive.

This movie portrays the true meaning of love; To make sure that the person is happy is more important than getting him/her in your life.

P.S.: If you know how to care, then you know how to love.

You’re my pet:
As I have watched movies all night and was sleep deprived I decided to go for this Korean comedy flick.

An executive woman is having a human pet who is actually a famous ballet dancer.

There are many cute scenes between the master and her pet but this joy adds up to love eventually.

The characters portray innocence and purity other than the fact that the girl keeps lying about her pet. As it’s impossible to understand the complex mind of a girl; I can only guess that she couldn’t tell her boyfriend about it, as she was not sure about her feelings.
Still this reason doesn’t sound good enough to me, but then again her happiness would have mattered more than any justification.

You can find some Korean videos in my YouTube playlists:

Love-Money-Cold | Comments for friends on blogger

One thing that I don’t like about using WordPress is that most of my friends are on blogger and it’s kinda pain to manage both. So today when I made some comments on the blog posts by my friends, I decided to post them here as well.

I am writing this post just as a log because these are my good friends and I like to keep good memories.

  1. The first one is by Armaan, who thinks about love at “3 am”; no wonder he comes late to college.
  2. The second is by Niharika, who wants to say that money is not everything and one shall give more importance to happiness. Well her smiling face and gracious nature can sure change ones mood, so I hope she stays happy and make others happy.
  3. And the third one is by Mr. Manik (SS); who has nothing important to share right now. Just suffering from cold and making people imagine what is happening inside his nose and God knows what other places.

Just click on the titles below, and new tabs/windows will open in your browser(depending on your browser settings of course) where you can read the corresponding posts.

A thot at 3 am

Wow! such painful thoughts!
I wish your love understands you soon.

But don’t you think, even after people get their love, it’s not “ALL GooD”?

There are many more problems.

At this moment, you only have memories and your own feelings, but once the feelings get mutual, the probable pain also get’s two-fold.
That pain can be even worse.

It’s one thing to know that your love is not with you, and another to know that even though it’s with you, things are not good.

well enough pessimism for today, but it’s just the way life is. (Mostly)

and BTW.. Nice Hindi!

Money vs happiness

Money is good; insurmountable greed for it is not!

Money gives us pleasure, security and confidence.

People with bad economic conditions might be forcing a smile on their faces, but that doesn’t mean they are happy.
Especially not because they don’t care about money. They do care, but they just can’t do anything about it.

The one who has enormous money is the only one who can think that he doesn’t want money. When you are living without food, shelter and clothes, you can’t even dream about being happy.

At one point or the other, it becomes our foremost need.

Read the novel by Jack LondonPeople of the Abyss” and you will know, how a material created by humans(money), makes them suffer.

Feeling, that is of a Cold

Gosh… why did you make me feel all this.

You didn’t have to go into such details. 😛

I almost felt like.. urgghhhh
never mind.

Nice killing skills BTW!

A post dedicated to Chris Medina’s song: “What are words” and the story that makes this song even more special.

This is not just about the song but the love that is behind it. The power that gave Chris the courage to try consistently without loosing hope.

Chris Medina’s song “What are words” is not just another song.  This song actually represents his love for his fiance Juliana Ramos.
She got into an accident on 2nd october 2009 which nearly killed her and since then she has been trying to relearn the most basic of tasks with the help of her family and Chris.
She needs help of people around her even for walking, feeding and communicating. It is like the most horrible thing that one can go through and some consider it as even worse than death.

No matter how insuperable this may seem, Chris has always been with her holding her hand when she needs him most.

To empathize the things that Chris have done and what he and others related to his girl have been trying to do earnestly since such a long time, do have a look at this squidoo lens: http://www.squidoo.com/whatarewords

P.S.: I also came across a kind of related story from Bhutan:

Novel Review: A Partisan’s Daughter

How man is lured by woman?

How woman is exploited?

I learnt a lot from this novel. The cruelty is portrayed candidly and there are some moments that made me feel overwhelmed. You will like this novel if you can relate it to real life. It is a nice read if you are grown up enough to look beyond the sarcastic and witty language used.

Some of the lines that I particularly liked were:

*Mankind would never give up its suffering, because it liked suffering more than anything else.

*There aren’t enough rhymes for “love” and “beauty”

*Everyone’s escaping from themselves. Everybody’s on the run, and then one day you have stopped running, and that’s when you are dead.

*Even atheists pray when they are desperate.

*People often underestimate their degree of drunkenness and overestimate their ability to drive.

Interpretation of Valentine’s Day!

We often start interpreting things by their names, but this is not always preferable. There are times when our interpretation goes wrong. Thus, to avoid getting into awkward situations, we should limit our rendering to ourselves.

The story:

We keep celebrating the Valentine’s day without even knowing the story behind it. Some may declare that it is celebrated because of the Saint Valentine‘s annunciation of sending love messages. And others would say that it is based on the story of Saint Valentine who went against the rules of a Roman Emperor Claudius II, by encouraging young soldiers to get married. But the truth is that no-one knows the correct story, as there were three different Saint Valentines.

Moreover, if we believe in the story of martyring Valentine, then the interpretation of the proposal: “Will you be my Valentine?” will also suggest differently.

But the whole thing is that this day signifies love and can be used as an opportunity to express your feelings.

However, why can’t we become “The New Valentine” by setting an example for this world and making every day as special as a Valentine’s day?

Why to celebrate Valentine’s day? why not celebrate YOUR day?

We all are as special as Saint Valentine, if we can make our love feel that special.

P.S.: Name doesn’t give you the best interpretation always. Just like Francs are not used in France anymore. (Replaced by Euros)

My favorite description of love from the movie “Captain Corelli’s Mandolin”

“Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being “in love” which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two.”
-St. Augustine
